Social Media Marketing Coordinator

Job role

The Social Media Marketing Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our brand's online presence through daily content creation across all major social platforms. This role will place a strong emphasis on video-first content, particularly optimized for TikTok, while ensuring engaging and trend-responsive content across Meta, Instagram, X, and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset, stay ahead of trends, and produce out-of-the-box content ideas that captivate audiences.

With 2+ years of e-commerce experience, a candidate will focus on three key areas: social media content creation, email communication, and influencer management, while also supporting marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily content creation and planning: Develop, produce, and edit high-quality photo, video, and graphic content tailored for multiple social media channels, with a particular focus on video content for TikTok.
  • Trend monitoring and creative ideation: Stay ahead of social media trends and brainstorm innovative, engaging content ideas to ensure relevance and virality.
  • Build and grow our TikTok channel with creative, engaging, and trend-responsive video content.
  • Engage with online communities: Interact with followers and customers in a professional and personable manner to foster brand loyalty.
  • Strengthen relationships with key influencers in the community and develop partnership opportunities.
  • Support the creation of content for new customer campaigns, including collaboration with external creative agencies.

Job Duties

  • Reports directly to the Marketing Director.
  • Organize and execute digital marketing initiatives, including social media strategies.
  • Partner with marketing managers to analyze campaign performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Coordinate with advertising and media experts to enhance marketing outcomes.
  • Identify and incorporate the latest trends and technologies to ensure competitiveness in the industry.
  • Maintain the content calendar and oversee the development of freelance and in-house content.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align marketing strategies with business growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant, with a strong understanding of social media marketing principles and content creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce video content, especially for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and identifying insights to optimize performance.
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of market research techniques, digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, CRM platforms, etc.), and trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-first approach to all tasks.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
  • Self-starter with the flexibility to adapt to evolving responsibilities and priorities.
